Rio Declaration is crucial
-rio declaration was adapted at high level
-it is an environment-development dialogue
-remarkable we came to agreement on 27 principles
-clear attempt to shift at global level
Rio+20
-Re-afirming the rio principle. that is the starting point.
-however, we see dilusion,
-concern is on equity CBDR. miss represented as a way for developing countries to get out of doing more.

-Geneva -Human Rights Council adapted a resolution
-giving a mandate office of high commissioner to commit to Rio
expert on Human Right on Environment
Joint effort on encorporating right-based approach, accountability
should be a mechanism that could monitor SD issues.

we should go to delegations.
the mandate for this conference
looking at gaps of implementation, it’s been reduced to green economy, and ifsd.
trying to make right cut across the three pillars.
dominant discussion is green economy.
some government want to wipe out the past 20-30 years. we cannot let that happen.
agriculture section US “science” based. Science lacks knowledge. when you put in science, you are deleting precautionary principle ★
those speaking in the room don’t know the historical background.
if you can’t keep the Rio principles, don’t talk about new visions.
